At least he's not teaching ethics

Imagine this job posting for a college professor. Wanted: experienced politician who lost his job in a sex scandal involving high-priced hookers. Must be willing to give students extra personal attention, especially the female ones.

Introducing the latest high-profile addition to higher education. Yep, Eliot Spitzer. Our former governor, who resigned in disgrace when his private kinkiness became public knowledge, has now joined the adjunct faculty at the City College of New York. And get this….HE’S TEACHING LAW!

Spitzer will teach a weekly three-hour course in law and public policy. Yeah, he’s the right guy for that one. Apparently Remorse 101 was already taken.

The former Love Guv will be paid the standard adjunct rate, $98.43 per hour. That’s at least a thousand dollars an hour less than he used to shell out.

  1. Just because he loves hookers, doesn't mean that he doesn't know law. He was the Attorney General for awhile.. and he was a pretty damn good one, at that.

  2. actually, if he loves hookers, it means he obviously DOESN'T know the law, since soliciting a prostitute is illegal.

  3. Actually, enjoying a hooker has no bearing on whether or not he knows the law. It just means that he likes hookers.

  4. enjoying a hooker indicates that he, in fact, broke the law. does that make him a good advocate to teach something he has no regard for? hmmm....nice try though.

  5. Just because he broke the law, doesn't mean that he didn't know he was doing it. He still KNOWS the law, regardless if he chooses to follow it or not. If you think he wasn't a great DA, you're insane. Obviously most of NY thought he was which is why he was elected.

  6. what does being a good DA have to do with whether or not he is a good enough advocate of the law to teach it??? Obviously most of NY thought they could entrust him to be governor too. we see how well THAT turned out! just because someone gets elected, doesnt mean they are qualified.

if i were taking a class on law, i would want it to be taught by someone who abides by the law--thats all im saying. you cannot say that he did abide by the law, because he didnt. in addition, he targeted the very industry that he was soliciting! that makes him stupid and cocky as well! ....and why does that make him a good candidate to teach legal ethics again????

  7. He WAS a good governor! How did him fucking a hooker have any impact on NY's economy, jobs, and etc? Oh, NONE. That is, until a few prude oh-so-moral complainers decided it was his time to go then we got stuck with Patterson. Spitzer fucking a hooker is irreleveant to what he knows about law, what he can teach others about law. What he does in his personal life, is his personal life. Again, you do not have to abide by the law to know it. You can very well know you are breaking the law. That's seperate issue though.

  8. you are forgetting that there is an ethical side to the law. he is supposed to be a representative of the law. how can he be an adequate representative of the law when he cant even control himself enough to abide by it!? get off your high horse and look at the issue. you cannot be a representative of the law if you dont even follow it! its an oxymoron. they are polar opposites. the issue isnt that he slept with a hooker; the issue is that it is illegal and he blatantly disregarded that! THEN, he was audacious enough to target prostitution!!! how stupid is that???? whether or not he was a good governor or DA or dad or husband is totally irrelevant. if you represent the law, you need to abide by it, period. wake up.
